The Great Grandbaby

Being a Grandparent is great BUT being a greatgrams is awsome BECAUSE you can really spoil them and send them home and they love you no matter what you say or do. All you have to do is smile and say I Love You and they think you are wonderful. Now when they get old enough to realize there is more to life than just that you are in trouble unless you can supply them with whatever they want. But little and young is just fine. Destiny in this picture is about 7 months and had just put on her first bathing suit when I got these pictures and did this layout. Again it is very simple. I used brown for the background, tore out the center of some flowered pink paper, added more flowers at the bottom,then wrote on vellium--Look at me now almost a grown up. My first bathing suit. At 7 months old I's all that and more. June 2007. I did the writing in turquoise to match the color of her bathing suit, added two pictures and was finished. The look on her face is priceless.

Page 2 IMHO

This page starts as follows: Your Honor, In My Honest Opinion --I know I would only be unfaithful to my husband if given the chance with one man-Kenny Rogers "the sexiest man alive" in my opinion. There is more like I don't like being old, looking old, and living on the downhill side of the slope. There is alot more but will not bore all of you with my rambling. At the end I wrote Time will never change my opinions and added an embellishment that looked to me like the front of a pocket watch that I had laying around forever and then put the face of a watch inside and that was the end of page 2. Now I have been looking at all of the other pages and they are great and so full of such great things but I just cannot no matter how hard I try do a page that has so much on it. My brain shuts down-my girls would prefer I would shut my mouth but oh well----

A Journal In Progress This is Me Page 1

I have been talked into doing a journal challange and I am so illerate on computers and not good at scrapbooking like my daughter is but just overlook the mistakes and I promise I will try to do my best and not embarress anyone. This first page was on hobbies which I have a few of all pertaining to scrapbooking. My album is 6x12 so that makes it easy to work with right? NOT. I cut the chipboard and the first pages so far so good and then I punched the holes but I forgot that on some of the pages especially the backside had to be at opposite ends so the page would not be upside down so spent the afternoon trying to fix what I had done wrong.Believe me my mistakes are not easy to cover up but a few stickers here and there usually works. I am trying to use just leftover scraps for most of this album so that is a challenge in itself. Now to the first page. I used stickers to spell out Hobby's ?, then wrote What's That? I know, I know! SCRAPBOOKING! My secret is out.What else is there? See enclosed list. I then added a pocket and wrote on the tag Scrapbooking, Scrapbooking, Shopping for supplies Finding odds & ends for free (like the piece of screening on this page) found it on the ground Saves money you know. Decorating-Antique shopping. Page 1 is finished.
